Brahma Lodge have a new hero this season and his name is Pedram Sourjani. The esteemed shot stopper made sure that his side progressed to the Round of 16 in the FFA Cup by defeating Pontian Eagles with not one, but two crucial saves at the death on Friday night.

In the 122nd minute, Pontian Eagles were awarded a penalty with the score at 4-3 in favour of Brahma. Sourjani saved the shot to the delight of the away crowd, only to have to retake the spot kick after the assistant referee deemed Sourjani to have left his line before the spot kick was taken.

The second penalty went the other way, but the same result ensued with Sourjani acrobatically saving to his left and sending Brahma into the next round of the FFA Cup.
